Mercs

Control your mercenaries

Press & release: select the mercenary you want to move by pressing his icon. As you keep pressing, an aiming indicator appears. Choose your mercenary's trajectory and release the pressure to launch him.
By default you can move each mercenary only once per round, but there are many ways to gain extra moves: capturing a jungle camp, killing an enemy while wearing the Seven-league Boots or using the Stamina spell are some of them.

Cast abilities

Each mercenary has abilities that can be triggered under specific conditions. Some are triggered upon hitting an ally or an enemy, some are triggered upon being hit by an ally or an enemy, others are triggered upon hitting an obstacle, etc. Once triggered, most abilities will have to be completed by performing a QTE (Quick Time Event): during this slow motion phase, you need to quickly tap on your target.

Stats

Mercenaries have four main stats:

Attack

Attack

Determines the base damage of a mercenary.

Health

Health

Determines the Health points of a mercenary.

Speed

Speed

Determines the distance a mercenary can cover per single move.

Vision

Vision

Determines the Vision range of a mercenary in fog of war.

Roles

There are four types of mercenaries:

Carry

Carry

They have a high damage output and focus on eliminating opposing mercenaries, but generally lack defense.

Jungler

Jungler

They benefit more than others from capturing jungle camps and moving outside of the lane.

Support

Support

They are turned towards teamplay and base their abilities on utility rather than pure offense or defense.

Tank

Tank

They excel in absorbing damage thanks to their defensive abilities and Health stats.

Levels

Mercenaries gain experience based on how much time you took to finish your round. The faster you finish the greater the experience reward. If it takes the whole timer to finish the round, the experience reward will be equal to zero. Mercenaries gain experience and level up together, increasing their Attack, Health, Speed and Vision.

Death penalty

Beware of your mercenarie's Health. Once they are eliminated by an opposing mercenary or building, they are recalled to base where they will have to wait before respawning. The time needed to fully regenerate gets longer as you enter mid and late game. Getting one of your mercenaries eliminated also grants your opponent Keys and Stars, which gives him even more of an advantage.
